Our 9cl candles last for approx 15-20 hours, whereas our 20cl candles last for approx 30 hours.
Usage & safety
- How long should you burn a candle the first time (memory ring)?
The first burn of a candle should be until you get a full melt pool right across the jar which can be at least an hour.
- Is it safe to leave a wax melt warmer on overnight?
NEVER leave a wax melt warmer on overnight or unattended.
- How close should a reed diffuser be to furniture or fabric?
Try to ensure that reed diffuser oil does not come into contact with furniture or fabrics as it may stain them.
- Are your products safe around pets or babies?
We are not able to say categorically that our products are safe around pets and babies but we endeavour to use the best ingredients and also soy wax which is toxin free.
Scent selection
- What's the best scent for a bedroom vs a living room?
Scents for the bedroom are those that are relaxing like Lavender or Chamomile, whereas you would most probably prefer a cosy scent for the living room like Vanilla, Bergamot or Citrus if you want a bit of zing.
- Do your candles throw scent strongly in large rooms?
We handmake our candles with premium fragrance oils to give you the strongest, longest lasting scent throw possible in all sizes of rooms.
Comparison / decision-making
- Candles vs reed diffusers vs wax melts — which lasts longer?
For the longest lasting scent the reed diffuser is best as it can last for weeks. Wax melt snap bars can last for up to 40-50 hours if you use one piec at a time. Candles give wonderful fragrance for up to 40 hours depending on the size of candle bought.
- Soy wax vs coconut wax candles — what's the difference?
Both are made from natural ingredients. However, soy wax is known to give a stronger scent throw. Coconut wax products are also usually more expensive.
Care & troubleshooting
- Why is my candle tunneling and how do I fix it?
We undergo extensive testing to ensure that your candle shouldnt have a tunnelling issue. Make sure to trim the wick after every use. Sometimes the candle will fix the issue on its own.
- How do I get the most life out of a reed diffuser?
To get the most life out of your reed diffuser, make sure to turn the reeds every few days.
- Can you refill or reuse your candle jars?
We dont offer refillable candles but the jars can be washed and used for other things once the candle has finished.

We do not ship outside of the UK.

What is the best burner to use with soy wax melts?
We recommend a tea light burner that is designed for use with wax melts. 4 hour tealights should only be used (not the larger 8 hour ones).
Soy wax melts are compatible with electric burners, however you may find that you have a softer scent throw when melting this way due to the limited level of heat.
We do advise against the use of oil burners for safety reasons.
How much wax should I use?
The amount of scent thrown out by the product often depends on the size of the room and whether any windows are open.
For snap bars, we recommend using 1 section at a time.
Candles are a different story. They usually need to have a full melt pool before they give off a strong scent. This can take over an hour.
How do I clean the wax out of my burner?
There are many ways of doing this, but we swear by Mrs Hinch's method!
Simply pop in a tea light/turn on your burner, wait 15 seconds or so (till the wax just starts to heat) and press gently on the edge of the wax to pop it out. Using a cotton pad also works really well!
How do I store my wax melts?
Our wax melts are perfectly packaged for storage but we do recommend keeping them in a cool and preferably dark place. If properly stored, they can retain their scent for up to 12 months.
